We are a research group at the Laboratory of Tree-Ring Research at the University of Arizona. We use tree rings to study past climate, forest ecosystems, and their interactions. Our research interests include the climate of the last ~2,000 years, atmospheric circulation patterns, fire-climate interactions, the carbon cycle, seasonally dry forests, and human-environment interactions. We have a global focus and are involved in research projects in the American West, Africa, and central and southeastern Europe.
